I participated in the musical festival "Quitapesares 90", which took place at Calabozo Guarico, also in the "Cantaclaro 90" at Valle de La Pascua. La Morena Plaza, representing my school Luisa Rojas de Gonzalez, San Rafael de Orituco. I took part with the Dancing Devil of Orituco, with master Antonio Aular, creeator of the Devils. I also participated on a dancing music festival called "La Playera de Oro", which was organized by Julio Gulias, Hotel Galicia, Dany Tovar, Mauel Palacios and Eduardo Enrique Tovar, there I won the first prize with a salsa from Gilberto Santa Rosa: "Que Alguien Me Diga" (Someone please tell me)
With Mr. Ovar Tovar and his sons: Barbara and Oliver, who I met thanks to Nene Velazques, "El Conejo" (The Rabit), I learned a lot of things about music. I was always keen to follow their steps whereever thy go, because my interest was to learn more and at that moment they knew everithing and I was just a boy always following their instructions, which thanks God were very usefull. Many thanks and my respect to them...
At 20 I had to leave the group because at that time I had to face a huge responsability, my daughter Venus Yaruba was born, and with the salary I got with the bank I couldn't afford her care. I had to change my residence to Caracas, looking for a job that could offer me more benefits. I worked as a courier for a local Newspaper, "El Carabobeño of Valencia", thanks to my sister Nidia for her support. Working there I met Jorge Vivas, owner, founder and director of the Orchestra: "Los Excelentes de San Cristobal" (San Christobal Excelents). I told him that I was a singer. My friend Sebastian Zapata also put in a word for me, and thanks to him I was invited by Mr. Vivas to an audition at el Callejon Machado in Pariso, Caracas. At the sutido and office of the Sonero of the World: OSCAR D'LEON, and I had the audition with 3 songs in 3 different styles: salsa, merengue and cumbia. The audition finished, everything was normal, we said good by and he told me it was Ok, but that I needed to put something more on it, that he will call me if anything would come. Next week I received a call from Mr. Vivas, telling me there was a Dancing at el Guarico, a town of Chaguaramas. That was my debut with the Orchestra: "Los Excelentes".
After that, there were lots of dances and trips playing with the orchestra, staying with them for a year and 7 months. Then I had to quit the Orchestra, looking for higher levels of Income and more opportunities with diferent groups and local bands, like Merkary Show (Many thanks to them, specially Enzo Curzi and his wife Betty Perdomo, we made a lot of dances together), La Tentadora of the Bolivar Brothers (Rodrigo and Gregorio, to whom I always remember), also some suplencias with la Billos Caracas Boy's and I participated of the TV program of Iliana Capriles with the group Los Melodicos, the show was called "Los Melodicos Club"
Tito Ramon, was the one who recorded the song for the electoral campaign of the Mayor of Altagracia de Orituco, with music of the band Tropi Boys: "Desde que Llegaste Tu" (Since you arrived). The words of the song were changed by Jairo Mosquera, my gratets thanks for him and his wife Samaria Fuentes.
